Football girlies, this one was a nail-biter! The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots ended their preseason opener in a 13–13 tie on August 13. π πΌπ
The Patriots got on the board first, but the Colts answered when Anthony Richardson used his legs to score a rushing touchdown. Richardson showed off his athleticism throughout the game, finishing with 145 passing yards and 53 rushing yards, although he also had two turnovers. π
For New England, Tommy DeVito stepped in at quarterback with Drake Maye sitting out. He threw for 128 yards and a touchdown, while the Patriots' defense created FOUR turnovers! π✨
Just when it looked like New England might take the win, Indianapolis came through with a 61-yard field goal from Spencer Shrader with only 1:16 left, tying the game. π Talk about leaving it until the last second!
π Girlie Takeaway
Neither team technically got the W, but that's okay because it's preseason! The Colts showed some exciting potential from Richardson, while the Patriots' defense looked seriously impressive. We're definitely keeping our eyes on both teams as preseason continues! π πΌπ✨
