Football girlies, we had a little preseason drama! 💅🏼 The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Detroit Lions 16–14 on August 13 in a rainy preseason matchup.
The Bengals started strong and went into halftime with a 10–6 lead. Joe Burrow got a little playing time before Joe Flacco took over and connected with rookie tight end Jack Endries for a touchdown. 💕 Kicker Evan McPherson was also having a MOMENT, making all three of his field-goal attempts—including an impressive 56-yarder! 🎀
But Detroit was not going down without a fight! 😭 Rookie QB Luke Altmyer threw a late touchdown to Tarik Black and ran in the two-point conversion, bringing the Lions within just two points. Unfortunately for Detroit, they couldn't finish the comeback.
